Building the Eiffel Tower

What does it take to build one...out of chocolate?
Lots of chocolate and lots of patience.

Eiffel Tower done entirely in chocolate.

Chocolate Eiffel Tower. Taken in the Club Grill, Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

Photos taken 4-96 by Renee Shelton inside pastry kitchen and Club Grill Restaurant.

Eiffel Tower is resting on sturdy plywood for support, and for ease of transporation.

The plywood base was later painted with dark chocolate couverture.

Eiffel Tower was created in stages, and each one stacked upon the other for assembly, secured with additional melted chocolate.
