Preheat
oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a small loaf pan, 4 1/2 x 8 1/2".
Cream
shortening until smooth. Add in sugar and beat until fluffy. Add
eggs and beat until thick and light in color. Add in dry ingredients,
blending thoroughly. Spread batter into prepared pan and bake for
about 60 minutes or until bread tests done. Let bread rest in baking
pan for 15 minutes before turning out onto cooling rack.

Use this
recipe for sweet yeast bread needs like cinnamon rolls, sticky buns,
danish and coffeecake. Let your imagination be your guide.

c lukewarm water |

c milk |

Dissolve
yeast and sugar in water. Scald milk; add shortening, sugar and
salt. Cool mixture to lukewarm. Add 2 c flour to make batter. Add
yeast and eggs; beat well. Add in rest of flour. Knead until smooth,
place in large oiled bowl. Rise until doubled. Punch down and shape
as needed. Let rise one more time before baking.
