Cakes, Tortes

Moist Chocolate Cake
A basic chocolate cake that's very moist.

1 c flour

1 t baking powder

1 c sugar

1 t baking soda

1 c hot water

1 egg

1/2 c cocoa

1/4 c melted butter or margarine



Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8" square cake pan. Lay parchment circle on bottom and grease again, dusting with flour after.

In mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients together. Stir to combine, then add egg and butter, mixing well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tests done. Dust with powdered sugar when cooled.
