and Pastry Crusts
Cinnamon Pie Crust
This makes a double crust.
1/2 c flour
to 6 T apple juice
ingredients. Cut in butter and shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Moisten with enough juice to form a ball. Turn out onto floured
surface and form into two balls. Wrap and chill until ready to use.
This makes a very flaky
crust and is courtesy from my husband's grandmother. This recipe
is as written by her, and if followed makes a remarkable crust.
1/4 t salt
heaping Tablespoons of Crisco
T cold water
and salt in bowl. Cut in Crisco with pastry blender until fine.
Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of water at a time and keep cutting in flour
and Crisco until you use 3 Tablespoons of water. Work this together,
but don't work very much or it will be hard."
